Still Training--Just in New Mexico
I have been asked by several people "how Saturday went." Imagine my confusion. I mean, it's not difficult to see that people are regularly very interested in how my Saturdays go. People are just generally interested in ME, right? But in these cases I found it odd UNTIL I realized that this past Saturday another event benefiting the fight for the cure was held (http://www.nationalraceforthecure.org/). I say, the more the merrier! All glory, laud, and honor to the folks who walked or ran on the National Mall on one of the hottest days of the year in D.C. Casey and I are still training for our event, which will be held on October 3-5. We're hoping for temperatures under 100. Speaking of temperatures under a 100--tomorrow thru Tuesday I'll be in New Mexico for my sister's wedding. Temperatures may be under 100, but just barely. In a previous post I talked about walking at White Sands (http://www.nps.gov/whsa/). I don't actually think that's going to happen if the temperature is above 90. In any case, keep us in your thoughts and prayers! We have a lot of training yet to do!
